بر این کبود غریبانه زیستم چون ابر

On the blue, I lived alone like a cloud

تمام هستی خود را گریستم چون ابر

For my entire existence I wept like a cloud

ز بام مهر فرو ریختم ستاره به خاک

From the morning sun I crumbled, a star to the earth

که من به سایه خورشید زیستم چون ابر

The land is barren with no sign of life on it

Above the smooth sand I stopped several times like a cloud
