As I am climbing to the top of Mt. Baldy, in Southern California, in 70- 80 mph winds and a 40 degree wind chill in the late spring, I am reminded of my cancer battle. As I struggle to make it up the mountain without being blown over the side, I wonder which was tougher, the cancer or this mountain? Of course having and healing cancer has thrown me for a loop and it was much more of a struggle to survive for a longer period of time than just the 3 hours it took to climb the tallest mountain in Los Angeles County at 10,064 feet.
