Organisational behaviour is not a discipline in the usual sense of the term, but is rather an electric field of study involving the integration of the behavioural sciences e.g., psychology, sociology,
anthropology, etc. into the study of the people’s behaviour within organisations. Organisational behaviour can be defined as follows: Organisational behaviour (OB) is the study and application of knowledge about human behaviour related to other elements of the organisation such as structure, technology, and social system.
Thus OB is primarily concerned with that aspect of human behaviour which is relevant for organizational performance. Therefore, it studies human behaviour at individual level, group level and organizational behaviour.
