It has been observed that rapid population expansion has raised the amount of anthropogenic activity, resulting in high levels of pollution in water, air, and solid waste, as well as an increase in the pressure placed on agricultural lands. Furthermore, a high rate of mortality has resulted in a drop in the number of endangered species as well as an increase in the number of human and environmental threats. The global population has been forecasted to increase tremendously to 9 billion by the year 2050.
