غزل “در نمازم خم ابروی تو در یاد آمد” حافظ با ترجمه انگلیسی

در نمازم خمِ ابروی تو در یاد آمد

Amidst a prayer, the arch of your brows filled my mind

حالتی رفت که محراب به فریاد آمد

And such was the epiphany that the altar cried out loud

از من اکنون طمع صبر و دل و هوش مدار

Never again trust me to be a man of patience, heart and mind

کان تحمل که تو دیدی همه بر باد آمد

As the patience you‘ve seen, is now totally gone with the wind

باده صافی شد و مرغان چمن مست شدند

Now the divine drink is pure, the birds of the meadow are drunk

موسم عاشقی و کار به بنیاد آمد

Here is the season of love, time of deeds solid [as a tree trunk]

بوی بهبود ز اوضاع جهان می‌شنوم

Ah, I just feel in the air coming of better days than these

شادی آورد گل و باد صبا شاد آمد

Happy is the rose, and happily blows the heavenly breeze

ای عروس ِ هنر از بخت شکایت مَنَما

O bride of [many] virtues! Never say your luck was not all right

حجلهٔ حُسن بیارای که داماد آمد

Bedeck beauty’s bridal chamber! Comes the man of the night !

دلفریبان نباتی همه زیور بستند

Green heart stealers are all wearing jewelries

دلبر ِ ماست که با حسن خداداد آمد

My heart’s master, she alone is gifted by deities

زیر بارند درختان که تعلق دارند

Heavy the hearts of the trees burdened by belonging

ای خوشا سرو که از بار غم آزاد آمد

And happy the [slender] cedar not burdened by longing

مُطرب از گفته حافظ غزلی نغز بخوان

O minstrel! Make a fine love song of what Hafez says

تا بگویم که ز عهد طَربَم یاد آمد

And I shall [rejoice to] speak of recalling my joyful days
