Embedded in a contemporary building awash in natural light sits a windowless classroom in quiet darkness. The carpeted floor has a geometric design, but there is no seating. When not in use, multiple wall-mounted LED screens stare blankly into space. As students file into the room, they receive and adjust their HoloLens headsets and see, suspended in space, a room-size image of the human spine. Students walk around, peering from above and below, locating and highlighting structures with finger gestures.
