A magazine is a highly collaborative production, with contributions from writers, editors, designers, sponsors, and readers. The same is true for this book and its interconnected digital collections. They are the results of many years of cooperative work. We would like to thank the institutions and individuals that worked with us to make this all possible. The publication of this book, as well our work in enhancing the database and global collections of the Media History Digital Library (MHDL), was enabled thanks to a Digital Extension Grant from the American Council of Learned Societies.
