ما درس سحر در ره میخانه نهادیم

On the way to the wine house I fulfilled my dawn meditation

محصول دعا در ره جانانه نهادیم

On the path of the beloved I received the answer to my supplication

در خرمن صد زاهد عاقل زند آتش

The harvest of reason of a hundred sages is set ablaze

این داغ که ما بر دل دیوانه نهادیم

From the blaze ignited in my foolish heart

چون می‌رود این گشتی سرگشته که آخر

How shall this drifting ship sail

جان در سر آن گهر یک دانه نهادیم

Since I surrendered my life for that peerless pearl

در دل ندهم ره پس از این مهر بتان را

In my heart no longer will I let the love of any muse

مهر لب او بر در این خانه نهادیم

The seal of her lips locks the door of this house
