افسوس بود و جز افسوس چیزی به شب نمی تابید

Alas! Nothing but regret shines in the night

هرچشمه ای که می خشکید از چشم ما می افتاد

whenever a spring dries up, its waters turns into tears for my eyes

از روزگار دلگیرم ای کاش رنج آخر داشت

I’m upset with fate, I wish there was an end to my suffering

یوسف اگه برادر داشت کی توی چاه می افتاد

If Joseph truly had brothers, he wouldn’t have ended up in a well

دل چشمه بود و می جوشید، وقتی خدا واسه ی مردم، هر روز یک کوزه رو میشکست، از تیکه هاش دل می ساخت

The heart boils like a fountain, because God made the heart from shattered pieces of urns that he’d break into small pieces every day

از تیکه تیکه ی قلبم، هی کوزه ساخت اما حیف، هی هرشب واسه من ِ تنها، از خون و خاک گِل می ساخت

Alack! he turned blood and soil into mud and from the broken pieces of my heart, he could only make new urns

زمین خدا برای همست

God‘s earth belongs to everybody

Behold and be brave

نترس و بگو

Be brave and be outspoken

خدای تا ابد خدای همست

The eternal God belongs to everyone

تا چشم کار می کرد و تا اعتماد می کردم

I looked as far as my eyes could see and mustered as much faith as I could

چشمم به هرچی که می دید بی اعتماد تر می شد

But, when I opened my eyes and saw more, I lost even more of my faith

معجون دردمندی از سردرد و دردسر بودم

I am a pain-inducing medicine, made from a blend of headache and trouble

با هر مسکن ِ تازه دردم زیادتر می شد

Each time I take another dose of this medicine, my pain just grows deeper

خشکیده تر شدم ای ماه

I am even more seared [from the sun], where are you Moon?

عکست توی کدوم چشمست

In which spring can I find your reflection?

اینجا که هرچی می بینم دالون ِ تنگ و تاریکه

… here, all i see is a tight and dark corridor

اینجا که هرچی می گردم راهی به سرپناهی نیست

Here, no matter where I look, I can’t find the path to a shelter

روح بزرگ من دیدی دنیا چقدر کوچیکه
