Phononic crystals and acoustic metamaterials have attracted extensive attention of scholars due to their unique acoustic properties, as well as their potential for automo-tive industry, high-speed railway, aerospace, and military fields. Since the acoustic characteristics of both kinds of materials are related to their dynamic equivalent parameters, determining the latter is of great importance for fundamental and applied research. Therefore, this book comprehensively and deeply investigates the propaga-tion laws of vibration waves in phononic crystals and acoustic metamaterials, as well as proposes different equivalent models for describing various types of structures and studying the dynamic characteristics of the objects under consideration. The main content of the book is as follows.
