Studies on socio-economic impacts of climate change are divided on arguing whether climate change causes population movement or not. Some literature argue that climate change has the potential to make lands uninhabitable – leading to deterioration in the living conditions of its inhabitants – and consequently, the inhabitants migrate from their homes in search of new livelihoods (Guzman, 2013, pp. 11–18, pp. 63–71).
