This book is the abridged version of a dissertation with the original title “The Institutions of Programmatic Action – Comparing and Explaining French and German Health Care Reform Programs”, completed at the University of Heidelberg under the supervision of Prof. Dr. Reimut Zohlnhöfer.
The book is the result of research conducted within the project “Programmatic Action in Times of Austerity (ProAcTA)” funded by the Deutsche Forschungsgemeinschaft (DFG) (grant number BA 1912/3-1) and the Agence Nationale de la Recherche (ANR) (grant number ANR-17- FRAL-0008-01) under the direction of Prof. Dr. Nils C. Bandelow and Prof. Dr. William Genieys.
