In addition, the tasks of studying forests, agricultural lands, the surface of the World Ocean, rivers and lakes, mountain ranges, etc. are of great importance. It is very important to study on a global scale the surfaces, covered with sea ice, i.e., the study of the state of these ice masses, their transformation and movement, since their influence on the global climate is well known. However, in addition to global observations, various local observations of sea ice are also important for solving a wide variety of tasks. These may include the choice of landing sites for aircraft for aviation, the determination of long-term wintering sites, the assessment of the possibility of conducting ships, using icebreakers, and others.
