I began writing the first edition of this book in 2002. Back then, I did not have any plans to write a book. But by 2001, my success in starting a unicorn in United Test and Assembly Centre (UTAC) – a company my team and I created from scratch – had grown into one of the best companies in the world within a short span of three years. As I championed the cause for entrepreneurship in Parliament, many organisations in the private and public sectors started calling on me to give speeches on entrepreneurship.
