The School of Mathematical Sciences and Geoinformatics at Suranaree University of Technology (Nakhon Ratchasima, Thailand), in collaboration with the Lavrentyev Institute of Hydrodynamics (Novosibirsk, Russia), the Department of Mathematical Sciences and School for Data Science and Computational Thinking, Stellenbosch University (Stellenbosch, South Africa), and the Moscow Center for Fundamental and Applied Mathematics (Moscow, Russia), organized this International Conference, held on 22–25 January 2024, in memory of Academician Lev Vasilievich Ovsiannikov. The year 2024 marked the 105th anniversary of Academician Ovsiannikov’s birthday (1919–2014). In addition to his significant contributions to gas dynamics, he is celebrated as the founder of the modern school of group analysis of differential equations. Ovsiannikov spent the majority of his career as the head of the theoretical section at the Lavrentyev Institute of Hydrodynamics in Novosibirsk, Russia. Although his influence is mostly recognized in the countries of the former Soviet Union, his work has inspired researchers across the globe, particularly in the fields of group analysis, in Russia, the United States, England, Italy, France, Germany, Brazil, South Africa, Australia, and beyond. This was the fourth conference in a series of meetings dedicated to group analysis and related topics hosted by Suranaree University of Technology. Due to ongoing travel and geopolitical concerns, the conference was initially planned as a hybrid event. However, it was ultimately held entirely online, with all presentations and conversations conducted via Zoom. The goal of the conference was to foster discussions and stimulate new ideas related to the application of analytical methods in analyzing nonlinear differential equations with local and nonlocal terms in mathematical modeling, and to generate student interest in these areas. The conference attracted a broad audience, including established experts, young researchers, and graduate students. Participants represented a diverse group of countries, including Russia, the United States, Australia, Canada, China, England, Italy, Spain, Thailand, South Africa, India, Pakistan, and Uzbekistan. This proceedings volume includes a selection of their contributions, all of which have undergone a blind peer review process by experts in the field. We extend our sincere thanks to Suranaree University of Technology for financial support, as well as to the Lavrentyev Institute of Hydrodynamics, Stellenbosch University, and the Moscow Center for Fundamental and Applied Mathematics for their continued backing of this conference series. We are also deeply grateful to all participants, university employees, and students who contributed to making this conference a success.
